Annick Ménardo
Annick Ménardo is a perfumer at Firmenich, which is one of the largest privately-owned fragrance companies. Prior to Fimernich, she studied at ISIPA, where many top perfumers train, in Versailles. Her most well known perfumes are Bulgari Black, Hypnotic Poison by Dior, Lolita Lempicka, and Bois d’Argent by Dior.
She’s known for using unconventional and surprising ingredients. For example, Bvlgari Black uses rubber and smoky notes. Additionally, her fragrances feature complex and multi-layered compositions with gourmand notes and woody notes. She’s able to create these various combinations due to her experience of studying medicine and biochemistry before becoming a perfumer.
Recently, she was a significant figure in contributing to the creation of BOSS Bottled Elixir in collaboration with Suzy Le Helley. She continues to contribute to the perfume industry with new fragrances and collaborations.
