Daniela Andrier

Daniela Andrier is an Italian perfumer who originally studied philosophy at the Sorbonne. She transitioned into perfumery afterwards, attending Roure Bertrand Dupont. The release of Prada’s Infusion d’Iris, an iconic fragrance, became a breakout moment in Daniela’s career.

She’s known for her minimalist style, focusing on simplicity. As a result, she tends to avoid overly sweet or heavy notes, often using lighter notes. Prada’s Candy captures this characteristic of hers as it balances the sweetness of caramel with other notes that creates a fresh and innovative scent. Beyond perfumery, she has a deep appreciation for philosophy and art. She even views perfumery as a form of an artistic expression. Another fun fact is that she’s married to Gilles Andrier, Givaudan’s CEO.

Bulgari’s Le Gemme collection gathered a lot of attention. It’s a series of fragrances inspired by gemstones, translating the qualities of gemstones to olfactory experiences. She continues to work as a key creative force behind Prada’s fragrance line and with other brands.
