Bertrand Duchaufour

Bertrand Duchaufour is a French perfumer, renowned for his work with L’Artisan Parfumeur. He studied at ISIPCA to develop his skills and deep understanding of perfumery. His breakout success was Timbuktu, inspired by the rituals of West Africa, featuring a blend of green mango, incense, and vetiver.

His style comes from his experiences of traveling, particularly about the nature and cultural aspects. His fragrances often include unconventional ingredients, creating niche scents. However, he has meticulous attention to detail, making the perfume wearable. Beyond perfumes, he’s interested in photography. He uses cameras to capture the scenery he encounters during his travels, giving him inspiration.

One of his recent successes was the Zoologist Perfumes’ Chameleon. He continues to create niche perfumes and mentors the next generation.
