Perfume Types

Sometimes, it’s difficult to predict a perfume’s scent just by looking at it and its name. Without looking at its labeling, it’s also difficult to figure out how long the scent will last. As a result, it’s important to know the different types of perfumes to find the scent that you want.

A parfum, the strongest type, has an oil concentration of fifteen to fourty percent, allowing the scent to last five to seven hours. It’s best to use this scent on small spots like your neck, ears, or wrist. An eau de parfum has an oil concentration of fifteen to twenty percent, lasting from four to six hours. It’s the type of perfume that many perfume lovers love. An eau de toilette has an oil concentration of five to fifteen percent. It lasts from three to five hours, allowing many people to like it as the scent isn’t too strong and it’s easy to use. Lastly, an eau de cologne has an oil concentration of two to six percent, lasting only for two to three hours. An eau de cologne is best to use for those who aren’t into perfumes and those who want a refreshing scent.

Step 8 refers to the option of upgrading the perfume.

In my experience in Rettre, they provide an option of upgrading the perfume by adding in more of the oil concentration. This helps make the scent last longer by two times the original option. As a result, I was given more freedom in the customization of the perfume I exactly wanted. I ended up choosing to upgrade my perfume because I wanted my scent to last longer.

Next time when choosing, don’t forget to look at its type to find your ideal perfume!
