Nathalie Lorson

Nathalie Lorson is a highly respected French perfumer who has an endless spectrum of fragrances she can create. Her father worked at Roure, a French perfume house, which influenced her career choice. Although she was one of the few women, she attended Roure Bertrand Dupont perfumery school. Lalique’s Encre Noire, a fragrance known for its rich, dark, and woody composition, solidified her prominence in perfumery.

Her fragrances are harmonious by blending notes with elegance and subtlety. She often uses woody, floral, and oriental notes. She aims to create simple yet rich fragrances. She finds joy when others recognize and enjoy her creations rather than herself. She thinks creativity is something that involves the exchange of ideas and emotions between people.

Nathalie Lorson continues to work in the industry, which can be seen through the creation of Yves Saint Laurent’s Black Opium and Mugler’s Alien Goddess Supra Florale. She’s currently a senior perfumer at DSM-Firmenich, demonstrating her creativity and talent in the field.
