Christophe Laudamiel

Christophe Laudamiel’s passion for chemistry and fragrances began after winning the French National Chemistry Olympiads in 1986. He even graduated with a Master's degree in Chemistry from the European Higher Institute of Chemistry in Strasbourg. His passion for chemistry continued as he became a teaching assistant in chemistry at Harvard University. His fragrance career started with his training at Firmenich, where he gained recognition for his creativity. The release of Fierce for Abercrombie & Fitch became his breakout success, leading him to collaborate with other brands like Estée lauder.

He’s known for challenging traditional norms and creating fragrances with storytelling. His ability to evoke vivid imagery and strong emotional responses naturally create a story in the fragrance. He’s an advocate for recognizing fragrance as an art form. Additionally, he teaches and promotes olfactory education, believing that understanding scents should be a fundamental part of education.

After joining Osmo in 2023, Christophe Laudamiel has been guiding the innovative approach of using AI to develop new fragrance molecules. He continues to expand the role of scent in our everyday lives through artistic installations, educational initiatives, and commercial projects. Through these actions, he remains influential in the fragrance industry.
