J'adore by Dior

J’adore, launched in 1999, was created by Calice Beacker under the creative direction of John Galliano. It’s one of the most iconic and successful fragrances in modern perfumery.

Charlize Theron, a South African actress and model, has been the face of J’adore since 2004. This marketing campaign and the gold-colored bottle contributed to J’adore appearing as a luxury icon. Its modern interpretation of floral fragrances made it a trendsetter in the early 2000s, contributing to its success.

Although its exact sale figures are not known, it’s one of the best-selling perfumes around the world and a top seller for Dior. It’s estimated that a new bottle of J’adore is sold every thirty seconds.

When first spraying the perfume, you can smell bergamot, pear, melon, and peach, creating a fresh and fruity scent. Then the heart notes appear, featuring jasmine, tuberose, rose, orchid, and violet. Lastly, the combination of vanilla, musk, and cedarwood adds depth to the scent.

Despite its reformulations in the past years, Dior managed to maintain the characteristics of J’adore, maintaining its popularity.
