Olivia Giacobetti

Olivia Giacobetti’s journey of perfumery began when she worked for Annick Goutal at the age of sixteen. Jean-Paul Rappeneau’s film “Lovers Like Us” inspired her to become a perfumer. After working as an assistant perfumer in Roberter for seven years, she established Iskia.

She’s known for using light, transparent notes that represent natural elements like wood, water, and air. Through the delicate balancing of ingredients, she’s able to convey a sense of memory in her fragrances. She’s passionate about the design and presentation of her products, too. For example, Lunx, her own line of perfumes, candles, and body products, has a minimalist aesthetic. Her creations are deeply focused on simplicity.

Her reputation as one of the greatest perfumers continues. Even Frédéric Malle, an influential perfume editor, once said, “Olivia has that rare ability to create an ambiance, to capture an atmosphere, like a great photographer.”

Malle’s acknowledgement made her the first woman to compose the classics of tomorrow. Currently, she continues to develop Lunx and works as a creative director at Lubin. One of her major fragrances L’Artisan Parfumer’s Dzing! still remains popular today.
