Olivier Cresp

For the people who like sweet fragrances, it’s difficult to not know Olivier Cresp’s contributions.

Born in a family with deep roots in the fragrance industry, he had an early exposure to perfumery. He studied at the Roure Bertrand Dupont perfumery, now known as Givaudan’s Perfumery School. Thierry Mugler’s Angel was a groundbreaking fragrance with its use of sweet, edible notes like caramel, chocolate, and cotton candy.

As you can see from Thierry Mugler’s Angel, he’s known for using sweet and edible notes. His aim when creating fragrances is to evoke strong emotional responses. His passion for the culinary arts inspires him to create new fragrances.

A recent major success he made was Luna Rossa Ocean by Prada, consisting of a blend of aromatic, fresh, and marine notes. He continues to work as a master perfumer at Firmenich along with his personal projects.
